Quick answer: Lightning Cat is the small animated cat guide that appears on Lightning Enrolment. It points you to the right next step, gives step by step tips while you complete the eligibility check, celebrates when you get a match, and curls up asleep on a keyboard when you minimise it. It is work in progress and completely optional: you can name it, minimise it or dismiss it at any time, and it will remember your choice on that device. We would love your feedback at support@lightningenrolment.com.
Why We Built a Guide Instead of Another Pop Up
Applying to a UK university is confusing: intakes, UCAS points, CAS deadlines, English tests, deposits. Most sites answer this with pop ups that interrupt you. We wanted the opposite, a guide that:
That guide is Lightning Cat.

How It Guides You Through the Eligibility Check
The eligibility check is five short steps. Lightning Cat reacts to each one:
If you do not match a course, the results page now tells you why and what to improve, and the cat points you to the closest alternative such as an international college pathway.

It Is a Work in Progress, and We Want Your Feedback
We are shipping Lightning Cat early on purpose. Things we already know we want to improve:
If something feels annoying, unclear or broken, tell us. Email support@lightningenrolment.com with a screenshot and the page you were on, or message us on LinkedIn. Every piece of feedback goes straight into the next iteration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I turn Lightning Cat off?
Yes. Minimise it and it sleeps on the keyboard, or dismiss it and it will not come back on that device.
Does it slow the site down?
No. It is a lightweight component that loads after the page content, so page speed and search performance are unaffected.
Does it replace human support?
No. Lightning Cat handles navigation and hints. For real admissions questions you still get a human, and our AI assistant can pass your enquiry to our team.
Ready to try it? Start with the eligibility check and let the cat walk you through it, then apply now for the November 2026 or January 2027 intake.
